From Her Corner is a creative community built to bring people together through hands-on, expressive experiences. What started as intimate writing sessions has grown into a space for collage, bedazzling, and other creative workshops designed to spark connection, self-expression, and play. Each event is intentionally curated to feel welcoming, low-pressure, and real — a place where you can show up as you are, create freely, and connect with others doing the same.

Hello — I’m Emily, founder and creative director of From Her Corner.
What began as a small writing group has grown into a creative community centered on connection, expression, and shared experience. I started From Her Corner to build a space where people can come together, create freely, and feel genuinely supported — without pressure or judgment.
Today, I host a range of experiences including writing sessions, collage workshops, and bedazzle events, all designed to spark creativity and bring people together. Across more than 100 events over the past three years, my favorite part has always been the same — the relationships formed, the vulnerability shared, and watching people grow more confident in their creativity.
Outside of From Her Corner, I’m a graduate of Indiana University Indianapolis with a background in communication studies, public relations, and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. I’ve worked with local organizations including Girls Inc., Indiana Humanities, Visit Indy, and PATTERN, and I’m passionate about creating spaces that feel welcoming, expressive, and community-driven.
When I’m not hosting events, you can find me creating something new, spending time with my cats, or dreaming up the next From Her Corner experience.
